Italtel Solution
Italtel has been selected by Belgacom as end-to-end solution supplier of a Next Generation Network Platform for Real-Time-Communication, which will deliver Voice over IP and other new multimedia services to the residential and business segments. Particularly, the solution addressed the definition of an open, fully IP-based environment capable of delivering multimedia services today while allowing smooth evolution towards full IMS.
The solution is based on the Italtel NGN-IMS Architecture, with i-SSW (Italtel Softswitch) and i-UDB (Italtel Universal Data Base) platforms developed by Italtel at the network core, and integrates Cisco IP gateways and Cisco IP carrier routers as well as value-added application platforms.
