ONO, the leading alternative carrier in Spain, offers fixed telephony, cable-TV, Internet access and entertainment to residential and business users, and wholesales services to other Spanish providers.
The company reached this position thanks to the acquisition of AUNA, formerly an independent Spanish operator, fully consolidated into ONO in July 2005.

Italtel Solution

Italtel has been selected by AUNA (ONO Group) to implement an iMSS-Class 4 solution for transit and an iMSS–Class 5 solution to deliver services to end-users based on the Italtel i-SSW (Italtel Softswitch). The Operator selected Italtel for its flexibility to deliver onto the same platform (iMSS platform), taking profit from optimized CAPEX fulfilling different application scenarios with the same solution, a mix of Class-5 applications such as V5.2 access, native VoIP for enterprise and for triple play applications.

Moreover, ONO could leverage Italtel system integration experience in building and migrating voice and data onto an integrated IP network, deploying cost-effective solutions for access control and media-gateway interconnection according to the varied plethora of ONO access networks and fulfilling the wide-ranging requirements of its enterprise customers all over the country.
