CenterTelecom

Open Joint-Stock Company Central Telecommunication Company, id est CenterTelecom, a major operator of wired communications in the Russian Federation, provides a wide range of communications and Internet services to private individuals, corporate clients and governments in the Central Federal District. The company's history starts back in 1890.

Currently CenterTelecom has 15 branches formed in the course of the company's reorganization that merged 17 leading regional operators on the basis of Moscow region communications operator. CenterTelecom is number 5 in Russia in terms of communications services sales volume after Rostelecom, MTS, Vympelcom and MegaFon. Svyazinvest holding is the company's major shareholder.

CenterTelecom is operating in all segments of the telecommunications market providing local, long-distance and international telephony services, documentary communications, data communications, smart services, ISDN, dial-up and dedicated Internet access as well as CATV, wired and air broadcasting, and communication channels leasing.

Italtel Solution

Italtel has been selected by CenterTelecom for developing an infrastructure for video/voice communication and broadband wireless that is part of an important national project for the development of new services that address the communication requirements of Public Sector, Universities and residential users.

The Italtel solution for the Russian Operator is based on the Softswitch i-MSS (Italtel Multi Service Solution) platform, which has been integrated in the core of  CenterTelecom’s network since 2006. This solution will allow users to take advantage of voice, video and broadband Internet accesses in addition to the services already offered. It is also the first step towards Next-Generation Networks (NGN) and the offer of enhanced services like video telephony, IP Call Center, and Wi-Max mobile communication.
