Italtel, as Cisco Systems Gold Partner since 2001 and European leader in Softswitch/VoIP equipment and systems, will be Gold Sponsor and exhibitor in the Cisco Systems Emea Networkers 2005 (December 12-15, Palais de Festivals, Cannes, France), the annual event organized by Cisco Systems for networking worldwide operators both in the ICT public sector and the enterprise world. In the 2005, in particular, the meeting's agenda will be focused on the Intelligent Information Networks and their creation in the Information Society of the next future.

Strong of the strategic alliance recently strengthened with Cisco Systems, Italtel will exhibit during the Technology Showcase of Emea Networkers 2005 (see World of Solutions) its Convergent and Multimedia IP network solutions based on the i-SSW Italtel Softswitch multiservice platform.

i-SSW has the ability to interconnect traditional telephone networks with the new IP networks, ensuring rapid and reliable development of broadband communication services and resulting in significant reductions in management costs. Moreover, the Italtel Softswitch platform is already able to host integrated wireline/wireless services and is part of the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) Italtel Implementation.

Next Generation Network for PSTN Transformation Solution

The NGN for PSTN Transformation Solution allows a Service Provider to migrate its TDM network to VoIP, both at transit level (Class 4) and at the access level (Class 5). Morevoer, it is possible for a Service Provider to leave its PSTN as it is and exploit the VoIP technology only for network expansions, seamlessly integrating existing TDM assets. Main benefits to SPs: OpEx savings (up to 70%); CapEx savings; open to new IP multimedia services; synergy with broadband access.

Residential Voice over Broadband Solution - (RVoBB)

This solution offers Service Providers the capability to deliver voice services, over bradband access networks, to their residential subscribers using low-cost CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) devices in a scalable manner. There are two major options in term of market offering: low-cost addtional voice linea or a substitution of existing service with a VoIP-based one. Main benefits to SPs: expansion of the customer base; delivering of multiple revenue-generating services; supplying of low cost additional virtual lines; diversificated portfolio of users.

Integrated Networked Business Voice Solution - IN-BVS

IN-BVS is a network solution that uses Italtel i-SSW Softswitch and Cisco BVS (Business Voice Solutions) in order to offer managed and hosted IP voice services to enterprises. IN-BVS is an architectural framework that extends Cisco IP Communications Solutions (voice, video, messaging, IP contact center) into the Service Provider domain. Service Providers utilize the components of the IN-BVS framework to deliver IP communications services to Enterprises and SMBs who prefer to outsource some or all of their communications needs. Main benefits to Enterprise Customers: reduction of total cost of ownership (up 20-30%); focus on core business; enhancement of productivity; increase of flexibility, scalability, reliability.
