Managed Services, the future of the Data Centres?

Focus of the Data Centres Europe 2007 event, taking place at the Millennium Hotel in Mayfair in London from March 21–23, is the state-of-the-art and the future of the Data Centres in all Europe, in terms of enhanced technologies, offered services, market trends and prospects.

Data Centres, the facilities used for housing a large amount of electronic equipment and handling the data necessary to enterprises and public/private organizations, must keep high standards for assuring the integrity and functionality of their hosted computers and communication systems environment.

In this scenario Managed Services are becoming essential for the development and evoution of Data Centres. In recent years, in fact, Managed Services have continued to prove an important migration path for all Data Centre offerings. These topics will be deepened within the Managed Services Panel, third session of Data Centres Conference on March 22.

In particular, Nicola Chiminelli, Italtel Head of Alliance Marketing, will explain how crucial is Managed VoIP by presenting, in his keynote, IN BVS (Integrated Networked Business Voice Solution), a network solution designed and developed by Italtel and Cisco Systems for the unified communication of Public Administration, SMEs, and Large Enterprises. This solution allows Service Providers to offer ICT market enhanced Managed Services optimising, at the same time, their network resources as IP Backbone, Access Networks, Data Centres.
