Italtel at Photonics 2016

(Rome, June 6th to 8th 2016)

Italtel will take part in Photonics 2016, the forum of national photonics communities in which participants present and discuss the most advanced results of scientific and technological research in all areas of photonics, with wide coverage applications. PHOTONICS 2016 will be articulated both in technical sessions, which will include original contributions related to the themes of the Conference, both in Symposiums that present the current framework, national and international initiatives and prospects of development of Photonics. Plenary Sessions are planned, with international players, and there will be also a Technical Exhibition with the participation of companies.

Italtel will present, together with Politecnico di Milano, the research project “ADVANCED VIRTUALIZATION FOR ENABLING NETWORK TECHNOLOGY AND APPLICATIONS (ADVENT)”. The research project aims to develop products and solutions for next-generation telecommunications networks and services. This project aims to optimize the architecture and design of the data center (DC), with reduced complexity by separating the parts of computing from those of input-output, relying on the use of the PCIe bus extensions even on optic fiber. The presentation of the project will be held on June 7 at 15.45, and curated by Pierpaolo Boffi, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano, and Viscardo Costa, Senior System Engineer at Italtel. Italtel will also attend with a small booth at the Technology Show, where our specialists will provide further information on the ADVENT project and on Italtel offer.
