Digital infrastructure management in public hospitals in Lombardy, Italy

CHALLENGE

hospitalDigital infrastructures, IT services, cybersecurity, and data centers are crucial components for the operations of hospital facilities, particularly during this time of healthcare emergency. The hospital, like a large enterprise, has its own communications facilities that connect wards, enable data exchange (from e-mail to medical records), manage audio and video conferencing services, and must ensure strict levels of data protection and cybersecurity.

Digital infrastructures and ICT services are crucial aspects for the activity of a hospital facility. Such infrastructures and services must be continuously monitored, managed and evolved in terms of technology and security. The choice of outsourcing their management allows a better control and a constant technological evolution.

Niguarda, Istituto dei Tumori and Centro Gaetano Pini hospitals in Milan have selected Italtel to manage these digital IT services and focus on the healthcare services to be provided to citizens.
