The NANCY Project: Innovation and Advanced Testing towards the future Beyond 5G and 6G networks

Research and Innovation Manager

We are proud to share an insightful article written by one of our colleagues, Antonella Clavenna published on the NANCY project blog, which takes an in-depth look at system integration and validation in the wireless domain, to explore Beyond 5G (B5G) and Sixth Generation (6G) wireless technologies to overcome 5G network limits and support a broader range of new use cases. The NANCY (An Artificial Intelligent Aided Unified Network for Secure Beyond 5G Long Term Evolution) project aims to enable secure and intelligent resource management, flexible networking, and orchestration, designing novel architectures that will revolutionize how next-generation networks are implemented.

In her article, our colleague explores the in-lab testbed set up by Italtel to support system integration and testing, a crucial element in the experimentation and deployment of next generation of wireless communications technologies. This is a practical example of how funded research projects and innovative collaborations can accelerate technological progress and the transition towards more powerful and efficient networks.

We continue to support and promote projects that shape the future of digital communications!

In the Horizon Europe NANCY Project (Grant Agreement No 101096456), co-funded by the European Union and the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU), Antonella Clavenna coordinates NANCY Work Package 6 (WP6) “Integration, Validation and Demonstration of the NANCY System”, leaded by Italtel.
