CDP Rating 2025: Italtel strengthens its Climate Change performance

CDP, the international reference organization for environmental and climate disclosure, has published the CDP Ratings 2025. The Italtel Group confirms a B score for Climate Change, recording significant improvements compared to 2024 and strengthening its position in several areas now assessed at leadership level (A / A-), in many cases above the global industry average.

Key advances include carbon pricing of emissions, driven by the introduction of a shadow price on residual CO₂ Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, aligned with the European average. Emission reduction initiatives and the development of low carbon products have also been reinforced, supported by a qualitative and quantitative revenue analysis aligned with the EU Taxonomy, alongside a marked improvement in carbon accounting processes.

In particular, the calculation of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions improved from C to A, while Scope 3 advanced from C to B, thanks to increased data coverage and quality at Group level.

Significant results were also achieved in value chain engagement, through structured supplier engagement projects aimed at improving Scope 3 emissions calculation. Further progress was made in sector collaboration and public policy engagement, confirming Italtel’s active role in industrial and institutional dialogue on sustainability issues.

Finally, high scores are confirmed for Environmental Policies (A-), Context (A) and Opportunity Disclosure (A), demonstrating a path of continuous improvement based on transparency, data quality and the integration of sustainability into corporate strategies.
