13th Italian Quantum Information Science Conference

The series of Italian Quantum Information Science Conferences aims to bring together mainly italian researchers from Italy and around the world in the field of Quantum Information and related Technologies.

Senior, junior researchers and students have the opportunity to meet active research groups and establish collaborations.

This year it takes place in Naples, at Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II: sessions from Monday to Wednesday are available for a limited number of participants and simultaneously transmitted over the web.

Italtel participates on Wednesday 13 at 10.00 am at the panel “the role of Large Companies in support of Quantum Technologies” with a speech of Paolo Comi, Research and Innovation Manager.

The theme of the panel is how big companies plan to support Quantum Technologies, also in the perspective of PNRR. Italtel’s speech is about the fact that the same quantum technologies that pose a threat to security, make it possible to build new networks that are absolutely secure and can be integrated with existing fiber optic networks, as long as the technology is used correctly. Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology responds in fact to the need to distribute cryptographic keys with the certainty of absolute confidentiality.

Italtel is a key player, capable of designing and building networks and solutions using advanced technologies such as quantum ones and integrating them effectively and coherently into existing infrastructures and processes to address real problems that are important to citizens.
