Italtel at NATO: Advancing Quantum Communication and Information Security
On May 12, Italtel took part in the Transatlantic Quantum Community Industry Network event, held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, highlighting the growing strategic importance of quantum technologies for international defense and security.
During the Data & Information Security session, Fabrizio Bianchi, Project Manager – Financed Projects at Italtel, presented our approach to quantum-safe communication, focusing on the integration of QKD (Quantum Key Distribution), PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography), and innovative protocols such as DSKE (Dynamic Symmetric Key Exchange). These solutions support the development of crypto-agile infrastructures to secure networks, critical systems, applications, and services.
The event, promoted by DIANA – the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic, brought together leaders from institutions, industry, and research to explore collaboration and funding opportunities in the field of Emerging and Disruptive Technologies.
Italtel’s participation emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships and technological integration, driving forward a shared vision of secure, resilient, and future-ready infrastructures.
