Italtel at the RESTART Final Event: Innovation, Research and Vision for the Telecommunications of the Future

“Shaping Horizons in Future Telecommunications” is the concluding dissemination event of the RESTART program, taking place from January 19 to 21, 2026, in Rome.
Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, RESTART is the largest public Italian program dedicated to research and innovation in telecommunications, with €116 million in investments, 135 partners involved, and 32 research projects spanning the entire national technology supply chain.

In this context, Italtel brings its expertise, innovation, and industrial vision, participating in two strategic projects within the program:

• WatchEDGE introduces advanced edge computing architectures for distributed AI applications, validated in real-world environmental and territorial monitoring scenarios based on heterogeneous and geographically distributed systems. Learn more

• SUPER enables the evolution of programmable networks toward open, intelligent, and software-driven models, extending automation and control logics to both RAN and Core, making infrastructure more flexible, manageable, and service-oriented. Learn more

Italtel’s presence at the exhibition area

Italtel will be present with a desk, serving as a meeting point to showcase developed solutions and engage with institutional, industrial, and academic stakeholders, along with a poster dedicated to the SUPER project.
