Italtel establishes the AI Compliance Committee to drive responsible and secure AI Governance

A strategic initiative to ensure AI adoption aligned with the EU AI Act, transparency standards, risk management, and sustainable innovation goals.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape operating models, services, and decision-making processes across industries, effective governance has become essential to ensure the secure, responsible, and value-driven adoption of emerging technologies.

To address these challenges and opportunities, Italtel has established its AI Compliance Committee, a strategic body chaired by the Chief Executive Officer and dedicated to defining the company’s AI adoption strategy in alignment with the European AI Act and the highest standards of compliance, transparency, and risk management.

The Committee brings together key corporate functions — including Legal & Compliance, HR & Organization, Digital Transformation, Data Protection, Business Units, and Country Managers of international subsidiaries — with the objective of promoting an integrated and cross-functional AI governance framework throughout the organization.

Among the Committee’s main areas of responsibility are:

• overseeing regulatory compliance and AI governance processes
• evaluating and guiding AI-related initiatives and projects
• monitoring risks associated with AI systems and technologies adopted across the company
