Milan, 17 January 2023 – Italtel, a multinational Information & Communication Technology company, has expanded its offer of Managed Services designed to manage the multi-vendor infrastructures, services and IT applications of telco operators, corporations, and Public Administration entities in a sustainable, efficient and secure way.

Managed Services are the default way for companies to access advanced or critical IT services because this allows them to focus predominantly on their core business. According to Global Data, the Italian managed services market is estimated at $3.5 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow to $4.2 billion by 2025, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.9 per cent over the period.

Italtel’s Managed Services are delivered by about 200 experts working in teams through a network of Digital Operation Centres based in Milan, Ciudad Real in Spain and Sao Paolo in Brazil that guarantees 24/7 support. The services also include recursive engineering consultancy with the aim of analysing the performance of infrastructures and applications to proactively plan any adjustments in advance of possible malfunctions.

Italtel’s strategy focuses on the four main directions at the heart of IT: cyber security, ICT infrastructures monitoring and operation, management of multimedia communication platforms for smart working.  Advanced managed services are delivered using tools of the best vendors, enhanced by software developments made by Italtel to ensure maximum customisation to address specific customer needs.

Advanced Managed Services are a key component of our offering and growth strategy, comments Camillo Ascione, Chief Partnership and Technology Officer at Italtel. Today, we position ourselves as an advanced system integrator and increasingly focus on the B2B managed services component delivered by our specialists in a direct-to-customer mode. We believe that this segment represents a great opportunity in terms of sustainability and innovation for the benefit of our customers.”

Other factors that are driving companies to invest in managed services include the need to rapidly deploy effective and sustainable technologies to better support their business, reduce overall spending on ICT infrastructures and manage the complexity associated with managing these infrastructures.
