In March 2017 Italtel officially announced the opening of its branch in Ecuador during an event in Quito attended by the company’s leading regional executives, Italian government officials, major strategic partners and main customers in the country.
The decision to open a branch in Ecuador was taken in 2015 with the goal to operate directly in the country with a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals to meet the needs of the local market.
Speaking at the official event, Mr. Marco Tornetta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Embassy in Ecuador, underlined the importance of the multi-party agreement signed with the European Union and the validity of the Commercial Agreement for the reduction of custom duties on an important group of products and capital assets. He also mentioned that this is a good opportunity for the development of Ecuadorian-European trade and industry relations.
Guido Candiani, Global Service Providers Vice President for Latin America, (in the picture with Ambassador Tornetta and wife) talked about the relevance of Ecuador for Italtel in terms of growth and business opportunities. He also said that the company aims to contribute actively to the digitization of the economy in Ecuador by consolidating a team of professionals who develop actions to provide the best solutions and meet the needs of Ecuadorian companies.

He also pointed out that Italtel goal is to provide Ecuadorian companies with a digital transformation environment that will allow them to become more competitive.
Finally, he mentioned that Italtel is a multi-vendor solutions integrator, with the ability to migrate to next-generation technologies and the expertise to innovate and design strategic processes in transformational projects with an extended portfolio of advanced products and services.
The company’s business lines will focus on telecommunications, security, data centers, collaboration, software-defined networking, and cyber security, among others.
