Webex Calling is a world-class provider of Unified Communication as a Service (UCCaaS), that enables Webex Customers to connect with external phones on the public telephone network (PSTN) through a certified session border controller (SBC).

In this scenario, the SBC is located in a service provider’s network and centrally provides the PSTN voice interconnection service for the Webex tenants of the connected enterprises. The SBC is virtualized into “slices” and each one is assigned to an enterprise, with a dedicated IP address exposed to the public network towards Cisco Webex Calling platform: each instance of SBC, at a configuration level, is divided into several interfaces visible externally to the public network.
