Cloud Security: stringent requirement for Telco players

The existing technology in the data centers was replaced with Check Point technology in Maestro configuration, the most innovative among those offered by the American vendor, characterized by simplicity of implementation, management and high scalability. However, it was not just a technological or hosting change, but a real Refactoring (or Re-Architecting).

The functionality of the existing firewalls has therefore been redesigned, in order to take advantage of the potential of the cloud and of Check Point technology, also including new features such as auto-scaling. The result obtained made it possible to fully exploit all the potential of the cloud, combined with the innovation of the Check Point platform.

For the perimeter cloud security component, the solution makes it possible to raise the level of protection of operational workloads and allows each Cloud island at the various Cloud Service Providers to have maximum operability and protection compared to the others and to the on-premise cloud at the provider’s sites.

Italtel carries out the activities related to the overall system integration and provides engineering services for activities ranging from the assessment to the design of the on-premise and cloud project, from the redesign of the cloud network topology to the architecture design, from delivery to project governance, from after-sales services to on-the-job training to operator personnel.
