Italtel: 83% renewable energy and 27.8% reduction in CO₂ emissions

Annual emissions reduction target exceeded.

The gender pay gap and ESG ratings are also improving

Milan, July 21, 2026 – In 2025, Italtel exceeded the targets set for its decarbonization strategy. 83% of the electricity consumed by the Group comes from renewable sources, and CO₂ emissions in Italy were reduced by 27.8% compared to 2024, surpassing the 24% target that had been set. Furthermore, at its Italian locations, the reduction in indirect emissions linked to electricity consumption reached 95.4% compared to 2020, confirming the effectiveness of the energy transition the company has undertaken.

These results are detailed in the 2025 Sustainability Report approved by the company, which, in the same year, reported revenues of 273 million euros and adjusted EBITDA of 16.3 million euros. With 14 operational sites across six countries, Italtel employs approximately 1,050 people — 40% of whom are based abroad — and draws on a community of about 600 engineers, underscoring its international scope and strong technological focus.

Progress continues in the social sphere as well. In Italy, Italtel has maintained its UNI/PdR 125 certification for gender equality and further reduced the overall gender pay gap, which fell from -3% in 2024 to -1.6% in 2025. Nationwide, women account for approximately 20% of the company’s workforce — a proportion higher than the industry average — and 67.8% hold specialist roles and positions in STEM fields.

The year 2025 reaffirms the central role of skills in industrial strategy. The Group has invested in training — with 70% of training hours dedicated to technological skills — and laid the groundwork for the development of AI literacy as a new form of workplace literacy, launching a structured program for the adoption of Artificial Intelligence within the company. Investment in young people continues as a structural lever for generational renewal, with recruitment through internships and advanced training and research apprenticeships in collaboration with technical colleges (ITS) and universities.

Governance has also been strengthened, with the expansion of corruption risk assessments to all Group companies. ESG indicators also showed positive trends: the CDP rating remained at level B with a qualitative improvement; the EcoVadis score rose to 66/100, placing Italtel among the industry’s top performers; and the high Open-ES score was confirmed.
