Health at Work: Italtel Brasil strengthens Employee Wellbeing
Italtel Brasil is strengthening workplace wellbeing with new initiatives that support mental health, psychosocial risk prevention and a healthier working environment.
As workplace wellbeing becomes an increasingly important priority around the world, Brazil has taken a significant step forward by expanding its occupational health and safety legislation.
Starting in 2025, the country’s NR-1 (Regulatory Standard No. 1) formally requires companies to identify, assess and manage psychosocial risks alongside traditional workplace hazards. Factors such as work-related stress, excessive workload, role ambiguity and harassment are now explicitly included within employers’ legal responsibilities, making mental health an integral part of occupational health and safety.
For Italtel Brasil, this regulatory evolution represents more than a compliance requirement. It is an opportunity to further strengthen a workplace culture built on wellbeing, respect and people care.
Several initiatives are already in place to support employees and promote a healthier working environment, including:
- Regular awareness reminders encouraging small daily behaviours that contribute to workplace wellbeing.
- A time bank system that allows overtime hours to be converted into rest time, supporting a better work-life balance.
- An enhanced employee recognition program, reinforcing the positive impact that appreciation and recognition have on motivation and resilience.
- A dedicated psychologist-led session focused on stress management, emotional wellbeing and practical strategies for everyday work.
These actions are part of a broader journey to foster a workplace where people can thrive both professionally and personally.
More initiatives are already being developed, reaffirming Italtel Brasil’s commitment to creating a healthier, safer and more supportive workplace for everyone. Stay tuned for upcoming updates.
