Fast-Shift was developed by Italtel together with Microsoft and Cisco to make it faster to selectively migrate applications into the Azure cloud while preserving reachability.
Milan, October 5, 2023 – Italtel, a multinational Information & Communication Technology company, announces that its Fast-Shift cloud migration solution, developed together with Microsoft and Cisco, is now available on Azure Marketplace to offer small and medium-sized businesses a viable way to speed and simplify application migration to the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Within Azure Marketplace Fast-Shift is offered as a managed service and offers users the opportunity to get in direct contact with Italtel to request further information regarding deployment arrangements, pricing or initiate direct communication in order to evaluate, as needed, a customized migration plan.
Fast-Shift solves networking and IP addressing issues in application migration processes from local data centers to environments on Microsoft Azure Cloud. Italtel has contributed to the creation of this solution by providing its software development capability. This capability has been used to solve the need to adapt enterprise IT networking to the networking of public cloud environments.

Fast-Shift makes it possible to extend one or more local subnets in the enterprise data center to the Azure Cloud and allows applications to interoperate on the same networks, even when they are allocated in different physical locations. The benefits are immediate in terms of:
– Maintain unchanged IP addresses and network parameter configuration for applications migrated to Azure Cloud, even in case of obsolete applications that are no longer supported or when there is a wired IP address within the application itself.
– Accelerate migration time without changing application code and current network infrastructure.
– Selectively and gradually migrate applications, while still preserving their reachability, avoiding the need for massive migration to the Cloud.
– Connection to backup services for disaster recovery.
– if adopted to migrate Windows and SQL servers to AZURE in EOS (End Of Support) the Fast Shift solution, will bring, as an additional benefit, the activation of additional support as well as the ability to perform free security updates.
