All communication systems move on IP
Together with the Telco Provider, Italtel proposed the VoIP system, based on the offer of a Cisco HCS solution with Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) services in the cloud, and the SIP Trunking with Italtel’s SBC NetMatch-S.
The solution includes the adoption of equipment in part on the cloud and in part at the company headquarters.
Italtel has also realized similar projects, e.g. for a global service provider, for an important oil company and for a large banking group.
Furthermore, for this Energy Provider, Italtel has also taken care of the creation of Telepresence workstations and the integration of the video communication system with a new VoIP network.
Some numbers of the digital innovation project:
about 1500 IP phones and network equipment
1 HCS server in replacement of an old Call Manager
3 Telepresence rooms (picture) in 3 locations with different models depending on the user profiles (top configuration for the headquarters)
rapidity: 4 days to commission each Telepresence room, from unpacking to testing with the user

THE PECULIARITIES OF THE PROJECT
Compared to other similar projects, in which Italtel has realized the Design and System Integration on this type of solutions, the activities for this important Energy Provider have calored the ability of Italtel to create truly “tailor-made” solutions to specific needs and situations.
For example, due to the specificity of the client’s business, in the various sites there were strict physical and procedural security protocols to which even the Italtel technical staff was able to adapt readily without slowing down or planning the overall outcome.
